Property Description
The Marco Polo Hostel is a state-of-the-art hostel designed to the highest standards. The hostel is a member of the IYHF.
What makes the Hostel Marco Polo attractive to our guests? The location of the hostel, friendly and professional staff, our prices, and the extra services that we offer distinguishes us from any other hostel in Hungary. The historical look covers modern content and high-technology linking past with future.
In Hostel Marco Polo we provide a list of services that are not common in Youth Hostels:
-We provide towels for every guest in single, double, triple and four-bedded rooms (Have to ask for it at the reception as we ask for a deposit what we give back at check-out)
-Each dormitory room is divided into 2-bunk areas with their own lockers. Each dorm is next to a dedicated bathroom with two sinks, showers and WC's.
-Dormitory guests can rent towels at the reception against deposit. We have only MIXED dormitories in high season!!
-Triple rooms is 2 beds + 1 extra bed (sofa)
-Quad room is 2 single beds + 1 bunk-bed!
-The linen and towels are changed every three days.
-All rooms (except dormitories) are equipped with telephones and TV.
-Breakfast is 550 HUF/person at our new renovated bar! You can choose from a list of menu, including coffee OR orange juice as well! - Not included in the price!
-Guests can send faxes and e-mails to any part of the world.
- Please, notice there is no female dormitory available during high and special season!
- Please note, that we only take cash (EUR or HUF) at the reception!

OR
By public transportation: at the Airport you should catch the bus nr.200 to Kőbánya-Kispest. From here you need to catch the Metro, you get off at Ferenciek tere and then take bus 7, 5 or 173 east (away from the river) to Urania utca. Walk on to the crosswalk and turn down Nyár utca. The hostel is directly ahead on the left.
From Keleti Railway station:
1., Take metro 2 (red line) to Blaha Lujza Square (Direction Déli pu - 1 stop). Exit the metro direction to the Burge King, pass it and keep going ahead. The Nyár utca will be the 3rd street on your right hand side. From here you will already see us!
OR
2., Take bus 7, 173 or 5 direction Ferenciek tere (to the Danube). Take off at the 3rd stop (Urania). Walk back. The Nyár utca will be the 2nd street on your left hand side! From here you will already see us!
From anywhere in town
Take metro 3 (blue line) to Ferenciek tere and then take bus 7, 173 or 5 direction east (away from the river) 2 stops to “Urania”. Walk on to the crosswalk and turn down Nyár utca. The hostel is directly ahead on the left.
Alternatively take tram 4 or 6 around the city ring road (körút) and get off at Blaha Lujza tér. From here you can walk 3 blocks East (or take bus 7, 173 or 5 one stop and walk back one block) then turn right onto Nyár utca. The hostel is directly ahead on the left.
