Property Description
Lots of people asks us about why we picked the name Aboriginal for our hostel, especially as we are located in Budapest, over fifteen-thousand kilometers away from the nearest Aboriginal.
The Aboriginal hostel houses us, backpackers like a tribe of nomads during our walkabout (= aboriginal journey, the original, nomad way of backpacking ;) .
A small community which offers a social atmosphere, a family of travelers, a place where you don't only come to sleep but to socialize with others and where you can have a memorable experience while you are here.
Although we are not a party hostel and we'd prefer if you wouldn't only watch TV and drinking beer all day as Budapest offers much more than that, we will still make you busy on finding not only the major sights but the hidden gems as well and show you around the best deals on meals and drinks even if you are on a tight budget.
Our hearty breakfast will make sure that you won't leave with grumbling stomach in the mornings and it won't tear your budget apart as it's absolutely included. We also thought about your other needs like FREE Internet to connect with your friends and family, FREE use of towels so you don't have to damp your own, FREE laundry for those who stay more than 3 nights and some other nice touches which make your stay more comfortable, like beds already made for you...
Our location is in a hip student district nestled between the downtown and the train station, so you can drop off your bags earlier, you won't get ripped off by the special, 'tourist prices' of downtown but you can enjoy better deals and still staying inside the city center. We are just few minutes away from the National Museum and about 15 minutes walk from the river side.
Besides the sights and recommendation, we also organize daily activities which whether involves food, drinks, games or some ridiculous reason for a get together.

worldgirl27 stayed here on 12th August 2010 This Hostel is AMAZING!! If you get the chance to stay here, do NOT pass it up. The environment is so welcoming and safe-feeling, truly one-of-a-kind. The showers are actually pretty decent, as well as an actual meal for breakfast, waffles anyone? The beds are comfy and everyone there is super friendly and helpful. I will pass on the Aboriginal to all fellow travelers and once you've been here you will definitely do the same. The Best hostel I've stayed in by far :) |

Charlotte stayed here on 10th August 2010 a very cosy friendly hostel, no complaints at all. would def stay there again. also a reasonable price. fairly far from main attractions, but this is what you get with such a big city i reckon. great place to stay, and the waffles at free breakfast were INCREDIBLE. thanks to the really friendly staff for a great time. |

DanMorton stayed here on 08th August 2010 Very impressed; the balance was perfect, an intimate yet relaxed place, where there was opportunity to go out and have fun or to chill out in peace. The location on such a historic street (Brody Sandor), close to the main attractions and nightlife add to this place's charm.
The excellent breakfast, laundry services and speedy internet connection made it very convenient.
The staff make the hostel special. Zsuzska went out of her way to book me accommodation in Kecskemet, Felix was a great host! |

immigrant stayed here on 22nd July 2010 Having rather bad experience with my previouse hostel, I did not expect too much from Aboriginal too,but me and my friend had like an entire flat(kitchen,bathroom,spaciouse room) just for ourselves! very good location,clean etc.
common room rather small but we did not spend too much time there,so I cant say much about the atmosphere there to be honest.
Crew always happy to help,gave us some useful advices,tips etc,etc and Budapest itself it's a beautiful city

The staff were great and really informative about everything to do and see in Budapest. They organise nights out to pubs, dinner etc. so it is a great way to meet fellow travelers. Definatly recommend to stay here, we would love to go back again!! Free internet is always a bonus!! |
