Property Description
Next to 'Astoria' metro station -a strategic central location- 2 blocks from the Danube river and 5 minutes walk from important places such as 'Kalvin ter', 'Ferenciek tere', 'Blaha Lujza ter' and 'Deak F. ter', surrounded by most of the important night life spots, our hostel is opposite to the Grand Synagogue -one of the landmarks of Budapest- and 2 blocks away from the National Museum, as well as a short walking distance from St. Stephen's Basilica, the Central Hall Market, the Gellert and Rudas thermal baths, the Duna Corso and, a bit further on the Buda side, the Royal Castle and the St. Mathias Church.
Our hostel provides large, bright rooms with double bed, twin beds, and dorms with 3 and 4 beds in large apartments. We offer laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, a furnished kitchen for self-catering and individual lockers with own key. We have special discounted prices for students who need an apartment for a few months. The apartments are housed in a classical 19th century middle class residential buildings. The hostel welcomes everyone, and made no discrimination regarding sexual orientation, race, nationality, etc.
IMPORTANT: It will be highly recommended a reconfirmation of the aprox. arrival time to the hostel by email or sms, specially if the arrival is planned after midnight or very early in the morning or if it is at a different arrival time from the time given during the booking.
The payment is in cash at arrival and it is given in euros due to the frequent fluctuation of the Hungarian Forint

DIRECTIONS
From the main railway station Keleti p.u.:
Take the red metro line (M2) -outside the railway station, to the left- in direction to Déli p.u. and get off at the 2nd stop 'Astoria'. Take the further exit to the right and find Károly Körút No. 10
From Déli p.u. railway station:
Take the red metro line (M2) and get off at 'Astoria'. Then proceed as indicated above.
From Nyugati p.u. railway station:
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'Köbánya-Kispest' and get off at 'Deák F. tér'. Then take the left exit to the 'Károly Körút' and walk along it down to the number 10.
From the International Bus Station 'Népliget':
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'Újpest-Központ' and get off at 'Kálvin tér'. Then take the exit to the 'Múzeum Körút' and walk along it up to Astoria metro station. After Astoria the 'Múzeum körút' changes name to 'Károly körút'. Find the number 10.
From the Ferihegy Airport:
By taxi: This is the best way if you are 2, 3 or 4 persons. (aprox. 17 euros to the hostel, plus a customary 10% tip. Check with the driver the aprox. cost before you board the taxi!)
By public transportation: you need to buy 2 tickets (one for the bus and one for the metro) from the ticket's machine at the bus stop outside the exit. Take the bus up to the last stop (Köbánya-Kispest) -which is also the starting station of the blue metro line (M3). Then punch the 2nd ticket before boarding the metro. Get off at 'Kálvin tér' and take the exit to the 'Múzeum körút', walk along it up to 'Astoria' metro station. From Astoria the Múzeum körút(avenue) changes name to Károly körút. Find the number 10.
By Airport Minibus: They have a desk right outside the exit from the customs. The fee is aprox. 10 euros per passanger up to the hostel.
