Hi I'm Andi!
Paprika is my hostel that I have made for all you backpackers who enjoy a cosy, social atmosphere; a place where you can relax between exploring the city's sites and joining our staff to explore the best nightlife and events Budapest has to offer. While you stay at Paprika we would like you to feel as if you are visiting an old friend, and leave feeling like part of the Paprika family. Some of the advantages of my hostel are:
Delicious HOME-COOKED Hungarian meals made by our resident chef (Andi!), and our brand new offer: VEGEMITE BREAKFAST for the nostalgic travelers.
STAFF who not only recommend, but TAKE YOU OUT NIGHTLY to the best nightlife and events in the city. All free of charge of course!
Reguarly scheduled EVENTS & ACTIVITIES for those who want to do more than the standard sightseeing! How about a game of football with the mighty PAPRIKA COSMONAUTS FC on the beautiful Margeret Island? Or sandwiching your way through the famous (and very cramped!) cave and tunnel networks of Buda? This caving tour (ran by a third party) is a must for any adventurous soul! We also recommend a range of tried and trusted walking tours of the city. So you will never be stuck with nothing to do!
A flat screen TV and hundreds of DVDs (For those nights that you just dont have the energy to go out and party again!)
A mix of local and backpacker staff - who know all about the city, and maybe have a story or two about a few other places nearby.
FREE linen, internet, WIFI and all the tea and coffee you can drink.
A social and intimate COMMON ROOM where we encourage solo and small groups of travellers to chill out on our comfortable bean bags together!

DIRECTIONS
We are located at 9 Weiner Leo street. It is an apartment complex, when you reach the entrance you can reach us by dialing 37 on the dial key pad found on the left of the door.
The closest major train station is NYUGATI,right alongside is the metro station Nyugati palyaudvar. From these stations it is an easy 5-8 minute walk to the hostel. First find an exit from the station and head south along Terez Korut, you should pass a quite majestic looking McDonalds on the left hand side then take your first right along Podmaniczky ut. and then the first left along Jokai ut. The first street on the right will be Weiner Leo ut, walk along until you find number 9 and buzz us. Simple!:)
For those arriving by BUS it is likely that you will arrive at NEPLIGET BUS STATION. From here you can ride north on the Blue M3 metro line which will take you straight to Nyugati palyaudvar. It is 8 stations away.
For those arriving from BUDAPEST TERMINAL 1 AIRPORT there is a direct train which runs direct to Nyugati Station. It runs about every 20 minutes during the day and every 30-60 minutes during the night. If you would like to take a cab ZONA taxis runs at a set price of 4800 Ft.
From KELETI TRAIN STATION take the red metro east to Deak Ter and change to take the blue M3 metro north to Nyugati palyaudvar. You only need one single ticket (300Ft).
If you wish to take a CAB it is best to call and order one as waving one of the street can result in being overpriced. Paprika reccomends Taxi 2000 which can be contacted on +36 1200 0000.
